The Fisherman
The story is about an old fisherman who lived in an abandoned temple. One day he encountered a fish God who returned his son who he lost to a tsunami many years ago. This story is a commentary on climate change, symbolised by the sudden tsunami, and the punishment the human race must one day face (represented by the loss of the fisherman’s son). However, the narrative’s ending suggests that redemption is possible if we recognise our own sin as the fisherman is finally reunited with his son.
